In this paper we explore what might be some of the factors that affect the probability that colombian women returnees to be entrepreneurs. With this purpose we used the data of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor project (GEM) Colombia, 2012, and we estimated a Probit model. The findings reveal that the factors that produce a positive and significant effect on the probability of being returnee entrepreneurs, knowledge, contacts, and educational level. Other variables such as the fear of failure, the savings and the age were not found to be statistically significant. Although this work is perhaps one of the first that are made about the topic in Colombia, still require more research to deepen on the factors that affect a woman returned to be entrepreneurial.
