Without trying to make any criticism to any particular psychological practice, it is proposed here to discuss resilience as a discourse that when it refers comes to the place of the master, according to Jacques Lacan´s theory developed in its seminar from 1969 to 1970, it is presented as a challenge for psychology. This discipline deals with the problem hiding its effects in theory: the social factors and vulnerability are denied as springs of the individuality genesis explanation. Its attempt consists of bringing up this theoretical inconsistency in the search of more factors, called protectives, and this fact acts as a catalyst in the obtained explanation. On the other hand, Lacan ´s Theory of the Four Discourses offers a fecund field in psychoanalytical exploration, since it recognizes the resistance of the subject (a problem which is object of Freudian reflection) as a problematic node in the subjective constitution itself, regarding to it psychology requires critical approaches dealing with its own practice.
