The resource-based orientation analyzes within companies to find those assets and capabilities that lead them to obtaining more competitive performance. However, the new global competitive environment, characterized by a greater turbulence, complexity and constant change, has highlighted the need for organizations to generate certain skills inside to achieve a better competitive position under uncertain environments. In this context, this article examines the role of information systems (IS) as a facilitator for the development of Knowledge Management (KM) in the organizations and from here allow the company to adapt to the environment through its effects on improving a number of dynamic organizational capabilities.
