This classroom project aims at promoting the development of writing through the use of Edmodo; for the accomplishment of such purpose, learners will be exposed to a series of lessons in which Edmodo will be used as the main resource provider in terms of activities. All of the content to be explored during this classroom project will be presented through the platform, which at the same time will be used to keep track of the students’ development with regard to the writing skill. The two elements mentioned above will provide us with the necessary evidence to determine if the application of a Learning Management System in a classroom for educational purposes could be an effective strategy to enhance the improvement of the writing skill in a language learning process. This implementation holds relevance in the language learning field since it delivers clear and precise evidence on how effective the implementation of technology in the classroom can be. ICTs, and especially LMS, are current trends that have been gaining great relevance during the last years due to their impact on the way people perceive life and education in general; approaching these elements from an educational point of view can give teachers ideas on how to adapt those tools as resources to their professional growth keeping them updated with the latest teaching strategies and presenting content in a new innovative and interactive way.
