Efectos en el reporte de la experiencia subjetiva de depresión, a partir de la implementación desde la perspectiva funcional de la terapia de activación conductual en tres adolescentes entre 13 y 17 años
The purpose of this research was to analyze the effects of an intervention since the Behavioral Activation Therapy when it comes to reporting the subjective experience linked to depression in three women between 13 and 17 years old at a university counseling center in Bogota. An AB single-case research design with follow up was used. This design enabled to establish the impact of components under individual conditions in a within-subject analysis. The results showed that at the end of the intervention, the application of Behavioral Activation Therapy had an effect reducing depressive experience reported by the consultants, as well as a direct effect on the engagement of consultants in activities with high reinforcing value. Similarly, it was noted that despite the increase in present rumination in some of the cases, there was a decrease of experiential avoidance reported through AAQ. These results showed stability over time for two out of three participants. These findings led to the discussion of the favorable effect of Behavioral Activation Therapy on depressive experience reported, despite the presence of patterns of private behavior related to depressive mood states, experiential avoidance effects, as well as benefits from a functional intervention coupled with high level of individualization that allows the use of tools that are relevant and consistent with the subjective experience of depression.
