Resumen: Escribir en la era de la formacion digital no es solamente una competencia de obligatorio cumplimiento. Escribir es la posibilidad de construir y proponer en la sociedad del conocimiento. En este articulo pretendo argumentar la funcion potencial de la escritura y su cualificacion como condicion necesaria del profesional moderno, mas aun del docente, quien en su constante proceso de formacion puede transformarse a si mismo y a otros a traves de la pedagogia de la escritura. Esta transformacion debe ser un aspecto fundamental en la estrategia de la permanencia, donde el estudiante comprenda y asuma las posibilidades de la escritura en su formacion integral. Writing is the possibility of constructing and proposing for the society of knowledge. In this article is argued the potential role of writing and its qualification as a necessary condition of modern professionals, emphasizing on teachers, who during their continuous educational process can transform themselves and their students through the pedagogy of writing. This transformation must be a key aspect in the strategy of dropout prevention, where the student understand and adopts the possibilities offered by writing for their comprehensive education.
