It is important to analyze the Public Accounting Program's state at the Pontificia Javeriana University, to compare with international accreditation standards. The educational institutions, increasingly, are under the requirement to Initiate processes of accreditation, tn order to promote the Improvement of academic programs and the profile of its graduates. With the purpose to know the program accounting's current status, this research paper, is based In an analysis of the surrounding environment programs public accounting at the international level in their educational structure, student profile and model schools business, and later present a detail of standards and criteria for accreditation of three international entities: Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of business lAACSB), European Council for business Education (ECBE) and the accreditation Council for Social Sciences, Accounting , Management in Higher Education in Latin America (CACSLA), additionally evaluated the added value for Public Accounting Program at the Pontificia Javeriana University, after obtain an international accreditation with any of these entities.
