Diseño, implementación y análisis de una metodología para aplicar TOC a empresas metalmecánicas con restricciones físicas internas – caso de aplicación: Colombia
The Theory of Constraints (TOC) suggests that in a production process of the components work to speed of the slower resource (bottleneck), this determines the speed of the system. In this work we applied TOC with Work Study and Drum, Buffer, Rope (DBR) methodologies and highlighting bottlenecks in a process in a metalmechanical company with internal constraints. The results were calculated in TOC indicators: Throughput, inventory and operative costs. With the resources reassignment and cycle time reduction, the Throughput was maximized at 12%, inventory at level cero and operative costs stables.
