Colombia is a country best known for its biodiversity as it has a great variety of ecosystems, therefore a lot of wildlife species. Among the groups of animal species, birds are worth noting, as Colombia is one of the countries with the highest diversity of these animals. They play important roles in ecosystems such as pollination, pest control and natural indicators, among others. And among all bird families, there are those belonging to the Psittacidae family such as parrots, parakeets and macaws, featuring a curved and strong beak, prehensile feet and feathers of varying colors. Their area of distribution is mainly America, throughout neo-tropical areas. However, many of these species are threatened by human activities, as well as excessive city and population growth, also by illegal hunting, which has forced these individuals out of their habitats, and made them search for shelter, which they have found in some urban spaces where they can survive. We intend to take care of endangered species from the Psittacidae family at Pascual Bravo University. Keywords: Psittacidae; urban fauna, urban growth, illegal trade, social campaign.
