The dietary habits, healthy lifestyle and the physical activity level determine the risk of future chronic diseases related to nutrition of the individual. The main porpoise of this study is identify the dietary habits, the healthy lifestyle and the physical activity level in students of the first semester of nutrition and dietetic program from the Pontificia University Javeriana admitted in the first period of this year. The study was observational, descriptive and crosssectional, the population was made of 30 students between 16 y 22 years old. Nutritional assessment was performed by BMI, Dietary habits were assessed using frequency counts consumption. The healthy life style was evaluated through an individualized questionnaire that inquires by cigarette smoking, alcohol, psychoactive substances and energy drinks, finally to determine the physical activity questionnaire was administered IPAQ short format. The results from the present study evaluated in terms of nutritional status by BMI, it reported about of 90% the sample is normally located in the remaining 10% are overweight. Preferred foods are meat (42%), rice (31%) and fruits (27%). Rejected food are vegetables (58%). About 13% are smokers, 37% consumed alcohol, 50% of the participants are in the moderate level of physical activity and 37% are in high level of physical activity, 13 % of the population have a low level of physical activity. It is necessary to continue evaluating the lifestyle and the nutritional status of college students, this allows us to know how those are changing and will support the design of strategies to promote healthy habits.
