In this article we expound the agricultural and industrial results of the new varieties in production in the Holguin province (C120-78, C266-70, C1051-73, C568-75 and B7274) along with those of the Ja60-5 (the one of highest comercial importance); we also expound an economic valuation of their production during the 1992-1993 crop season. The showed an agricultural-industrial potencial similar to that of Ja60-5, with the exception of C266-70 and C568-75 in the industrial yilding results of the winter and ratoon which resulted significantly inferior to the Ja60-5. The C120-78 and C1051-73, gave profits superior to the Ja60-5, consisting in $ 99.00 and $44.00 respectively, for each hectare of cane reaped, the C120-78 was the one with the best results integrally.
