Virtualmente.revista facultad estud.ambient.virtuales Virtual learning and teaching require not only knowledge and experience; the challenges of virtual tutors are basically related to the specificity that online interaction and communication attain. Therefore, the research project presented here “Teaching, methodological and strategic competences that virtual tutors at the EAN university must have, which generate a better tutorstudent interaction in the process of online collaborative learning” seeks to determine the teaching, methodological and strategic competences that current tutors at the faculty of virtual environments have, and observe how these skills allow student- tutor interaction during the learning process of the different units of study, to further define the educational, methodological and strategic competences for virtual education and the factors that characterize them, so that the tutor-student interaction process is produced in a more natural and assertive manner, consistent with the statements from the theoretical reference and the pedagog al model of the EAN University.
