Spanish Abstract: El presente articulo analiza las transformaciones urbanisticas ocurridas en el sector de San Victorino y Santa Ines en la ciudad de Bogota, D.C. entre 1948 y 2010, haciendo uso de una “metodologia genealogica” durante el proceso de indagacion que permite contrastar las visiones habitualmente aceptadas de “progreso” y “renovacion urbana” en un contexto urbano marcado por la existencia de una economia informal y una poblacion en condiciones de marginalidad que configura buena parte de la “cultura popular urbana” de la Bogota de los siglos XX y XXI. Esta vision permite observar desde diversas perspectivas los cambios ocurridos en este sector de la ciudad, los impactos de los hechos historicos acaecidos en este periodo de tiempo y, en especial, los efectos reales de un proceso de reordenamiento urbano que inicio en 1998 y se ha prolongado hasta el momento actual, el cual ha dejado una huella significativa sobre la fisonomia urbana y social del lugar. English Abstract: The present article analyze the urban transformations happened in the sector of Saint Victorino and Saint Ines in the city of Bogota D.C. between 1948 and 2010, making use of the “Genealogical Methodology” during the process of inquiry that allow to contrast the visions that are usually accepted of “progress” and “urban renovation” in the urban market context by the existence of a informal economic and a population in conditions of marginality that configures a good part of the “popular urban culture” of the Bogota in the 20th and 21st century. This vision permit to observe from various perspectives the changes that happened in this sector of the city, the impacts of the history facts occurred en this time period and, in special, the real effects of a rearrangement urban process that began in 1998 and has been prolonged to date, which has left a significant mark about the urban and social physionomy of the place.
