What requires higher education today is the adoption of new roles, pointing to as a trainer and teacher as an active student in the teaching-learning process, as a result of a socio-cultural and economic context in which immersed. This need leads to the following research question: What does the recognition of a teacher's teaching style of the BA in Childhood Education, Technological University of Pereira, the improvement of educational practices? The investigation starts with reflection that makes his university teaching educational practice. It is based on a critical (Habermas, 1987), which assumes the reality of educational practices with to recognize, interpret and transform problemicos aspects of it, from identifying the most predominant teaching styles in their teaching. As objectives arises recognize the pedagogical style of teaching degree in Early Childhood Education, University of Pereira to contribute to the transformation in the development of reflective teaching practices. It follows the Educational Action Research method (Elliott 2000) that allows the transformation of the problematized in educational practice by planning and executing a complete teaching unit; follows a spiraling cycle of reflection-action-reflection, before practice (as planned), during practice (what was done) and the final analysis of the process. According to the results of the learning unit shows that the categories point to the transformation of educational practice, based on the recognition of the teacher.
