This project aims to formulate the Efficiency and Water Saving Program (EWSP) to the Matecana International Airport, taking as reference under Law 373 of 1997, through which generate guidelines to develop a set of projects and actions aimed at protection and optimization of water resources and based in the Efficient and Rational Use of Water Manual “uses only the necessary”, made in Mexico in 2003. The formulation of the Program included three phases: the diagnostic phase in terms of supply, demand and actions aimed at efficient use of water, the opportunity identification phase that concludes with a checklist and refining projects such opportunities that were prioritized by a Matrix of Viability, which assessed the environmental, social, economic and technical viability. The Matrix allowed us to conclude that the priority projects are: environmental education and change in consumption habits.
