At present, the prevalence of overweight and obesity is one of the most disturbing problems as has been performing for inadequate dietary habits and environmental influence. Thus the aim of the research was to identify the arguments given for children group 711 years of college Jose Max Leon related to the nutritional quality of menus prepared for mom and torque through an experimental study, which involved 55 children aged between 7 and 11 years. Each was presented modules artificial foods and asked to build a lunch menu for mom and one for a friend (a), then interviews were conducted with each of the participants, speeches were categorized and analyzed with the Theory of Planned Behavior (TBP). The results indicated that the TBP is a very powerful and predictive model to explain human behavior. Furthermore justifications are influenced by friends, mother, experts, relatives, which can also lead to be a positive influence. Since in the speeches they gave in the interview relates healthy eating. We conclude that it is important to nutrition education for mothers, integrating children in order to create healthy eating patterns in them that could prevent foodrelated illnesses.
