In this study, you write about how fiction, seen as a narrative element or literary element, is immersed in history or in historical discourse, understood as a description of actual events. Key terms are defined (fiction and historical discourse) and that immersion is evidenced by a work considered historical novel: The resignation of hero Baltasar (1986 [1974) written by Edgardo Rodriguez Julia. The mention of the work will support to try to argue how the concepts of traditional literature and history are overcome and feed each other.
