This article is to expose the significance of approaching the problem of suicide from the perspective of the professionals who care for people with suicidal behavior. Likewise it aims to show some of the methodological considerations that researchers take into account to encompass the construct; The proposed alternative is a study in two phases, strictly qualitative exploratory and based on grounded theory, that allow to recognize aspects of determining context of the attitude that precede the development of the second phase in which it develops and applies a test to characterize more generally the attitudes of professionals regarding suicidal behavior, with the purpose of considering aspects that impact intervention alternatives.
