DISEÑO Y APLICACIÓN MULTIMEDIA EN CIENCIAS NATURALES, PARA EL APRENDIZAJE DE NIÑOS Y NIÑAS SORDOS DESIGN AND MULTIMEDIA APPLICATION IN SCIENCE , LEARNING OF DEAF CHILDREN
A Natural Sciences multimedia Teaching Support Program based on the results of a hearing impared piloting conducted on six children at a multistage classroom at the schools CASD HERMOGENES MAZA in Armenia was designed. This test indicated that 32% has trouble distinguishing from animated organisms and unanimated objects. The multimedia contains two chapters: the first is called living beings and unanimated objects, which includes the following sub-themes: Life cycle of living things and what living organisms need to survive. The second chapter is Taking care of our body, in wich sub-themes are developed: The five senses and the characteristics of the five senses. It illustrates the need to take care of our bodies and of others, to establish relationships between microorganisms and health. This multimedia is designed considering INSOR parameters in regard to the use of a language model. In the implementation stage, the correct answers of students regarding their knowledge of living organisms increased 23,3% . It is expected that this multimedia will contribute to the teaching of Natural Sciences in the hearing impaired population in the context of inclusive education
