The following assignment was carried out by the standardization and verification of methods for the analysis of total hardness and electrical conductivity in treated waters, samples provided by the aqueducts Santiago Londono (for analysis of total hardness) and Playa Rica (for analysis of electrical conductivity) in Dosquebradas town; those aqueducts which are enrolled to the Association of Community Aqueduct AMAC. The aqueducts referenced above were chosen for analysis by means of having tested for the total hardness parameters and electrical conductivity; they were in an average value between 17 aqueducts which to date were conducting their analysis on the association. In the laboratory, samples were preserved for analysis of conductivity at 4 ° C and total hardness analysis the sample was vinegar with HNO3 until pH ≤ 2 for further analysis, using glassware washing and rinsing properly with distilled water. Total hardness determination was performed by titulometrico method EDTA and the electric conductivity was performed by electrical conductivity instrumental method; for this determination, it was necessary the use of a portable conductivity meter HACH. Both methods were taken from the book Standard Methods for the Water and Wastewater Edition 21. Finally for verification and standardization of methods it was required statistical analysis and the next step was to make standardization of procedure manuals for reference parameters.
