The Gulf of Tribuga is located in the northern Colombian Pacific coast, where the fishery resource is obtained largely through artisanal fishery. In this coast doesn´t exist a management plan for the fisheries, that´s why this study aims to provide information about the spatial and temporal distribution of fish fauna registered by artisanal fishing and contribute to the knowledge for a future management plan. The data where obtained through a monitoring during a year made by the MarViva Fundation. Just the data from the rocky areas where analysed and studies about the structure of the fish communities, the similarity between the fish sites and the seasonality of the fish resource where made. It was obtained a total of 110 species and 35 fishing sites. 4 groups of fishing sites were established that share a similarity in species and that present a spatial distribution in the gulf. As to the seasonality, the months of april, may and june registered the major numbers of species, individuals and biomass (kg) and the second semester of the year present a major similarity in species. The differences in the spatial and temporal distribution of the species are due to ambiental factors like depth, proximity to mouths of rivers, mangrove areas, seasonality of rainfall, temperature of water and currents.
