The development of students' critical thinking is one of the goals that have basic standards in social sciences towards finding a formation of citizens able to understand their reality and transform, thus building the foundations of their Social Thought. In this search raises the following research question: What is social thinking skills that are developed in the teaching and learning of a teaching unit aimed at groups with ICT support in the third grade students in the Hugo Angel Jaramillo in Pereira? The method is the case study (Yin, 2005; Stake, 1999), which allows describing, analyzing and interpreting reality from the context in which the phenomenon is studied in its natural, habitual, and its dynamic nature. This research study is the interpretive hermeneutic approach as it seeks to understand reality from within, to identify, analyze and interpret the phenomena of interest in this case, social thinking skills in group students of the educational institution Hugo Angel Jaramillo with ICT support. The purpose of the research was approached from the teaching and learning of social science based on three stages: planning, development and reflection. The teacher makes critical reflections educational practice. The student develops skills and enabling competencies to respond well to research in the chosen community identifying skills Social Thought in the teaching and learning process that develops from the learning unit ethnic groups.
