In coffee region sampling plots were established to quantify the biomass of the guadua angustifolia Kunth (overground and underground), to determine the carbon sequestered by this spice, for It also were checking Zonificacion Detallada de Guadua by Camargo et al, 2007; to establish the carbon sequestration at the regional level taking using nucleos forestales productivos such a figure. It also had been evaluate the options of trading carbon credits in both regular markets and in voluntary markets, therefore REDD and REDD+ is the most easy possibility for bamboo, however, MDL was analyzed because it is the only that can approve any forestry project for now. Finally, it is a comparison of the eligibility criteria of voluntary standards against the characteristics of the bamboo stands Colombian Coffee, like an opportunity to development of the rural communities.
