Diagnóstico para evaluar la implementación de la tecnología de identificación por radio frecuencia con código electrónico del producto, en la zona metropolitana de Pereira
The present study has like purpose of making a diagnostic to evaluate the viability to implement the technology of Radio frequency with Electronic Product Code in companies of the metropolitan zone of Pereira. The investigation becomes a tool for the industralist, because it allows him to identify clearly the benefits of this type of technology and the adaptability of he himself in the company. The study contemplates the methodology used for the evaluation of a project, that consists of: I diagnostic initial of the process, technical viability, economic viability and the impact generated in the organization. In addition the comparison with the implementation of bar code settles down, as far as benefits in costs, times and personnel, so that the industralist counts on the information sufficient to decide which of both systems complies more to the situation of the company. For the study, the treated main subjects were: the management of inventories, the systems of distribution, the technology of information, the logistics nets, indicating financiers, systems of management, among others. Fact that in the investigation companies of different economic sectors were used from the metropolitan area of Pereira, provided approach interesting to project, because all elements were analyzed from several points of view that are involved with the reorganization who must become to the facilities of the companies, once these approve the implantation of the system. Until now the companies that have implemented EPC in the country they are great companies, which began testing pilot with one of their lines of products, and when observing the results which they are demonstrated of the application of the system, continue with the rest of their processes, gradually, always treating of which the involved personnel totally is sensitized with the technology. IMDECOM, INCOCO, Calzado Express and the marketer fertilizer company, was the cuatros companies with which the study was developed. These belong to different economic sectors, and were selected through systematic random sampling. To all an initial, but diagnosis was made them evaluate how the activities related to the reception and transfer of merchandise were made, like the invoicing by the sales, because these procedures highly see affected at the time of implementing the system, because many activities of them are omitted, who normally consume long time and costs.
