Today Colombia is located as a country rich in natural resources and diversity of food products, agricultural, but it lacks a good infrastructure enabling it to be competitive at the international level. One of the factors affecting competitiveness is the lack of modernization of small farmers. During the preparation of the soil for cultivation there are a number of activities that are carried out with different plow tools since processes require time and physical strength, for that reason it was proposed the design and simulation of a device that can increase efficiency both in process and in energy resources and therefore economic, thus achieving an improvement in the quality of life support in the work of tillage and a motivation in the productivity of crops in Colombia. This work of grade is based on the design, simulation, evaluation and redesign of a prototype of a plow for the preparation of the soil in organic crops for small farmers, as integrated device in the initial phase of the project of high-impact GIDAM group. The development of this project, physical tests were performed in order to obtain values that allowed you to simulate through the analysis of finite element stresses and deformations which the plow is subject in the process of tillage. Virtual simulation tools were used in the development of this work such as Labview ®, SolidWorks ®, Matlab ® and Multisim ®.
