This paper presents an innovative educational research, which aims to interpret social thinking skills that are developed in a didactic teaching and learning of Environmental Education with Augmented Reality support. From there, it raises the following research question: What social thinking skills are developed in a didactic Environmental Management of Tropical Dry Forest adjacent to the city of Cartago Educational Institution, supported by Augmented Reality in undergraduate 9. The research is based on the constructivist approach Sociocultural source, which means that from the interaction of individuals in the social and cultural contexts of teaching and learning, we report the construction of knowledge where ICTs are catalysts of aid joint activity between teachers and students. The objective of the research, to interpret social thinking skills identified in the didactic teaching and learning of Environmental Management Augmented Reality helped by students in grade 9; planning and implementing a techno-pedagogical design, done in a classroom with help of ICT, which is to plan a techno-pedagogical design, then identify social thinking skills in the teaching and learning of environmental education. The methodological structure that develops is the case study (Yin, 2009) that enables a holistic perception of the teaching and learning throughout the techno-pedagogical design, seeking to interpret social thinking skills that are developed both in planning and in practice aided design of Augmented Reality. According to the results, Augmented Reality becomes an ICT technological tool to support the exploration of issues of Tropical Dry Forest Ecosystem adjacent to the city of Cartago Educational Institution, where skills are included in the development of social thought planned by the teacher. Cognitive Skills Were Linguistic Description, Explanation, Interpretation and Argument. Social thinking skills which manifest in the development of the teaching proposal are the same considered in planning, which have special features as: the description is the skill with the top of presence in the design executed, the explanation has a low and medium performance, it is also the ability for second place performance in the execution, and interpretation and argumentation, are skills that have the third and fourth in appearance, but in the last session, with high values onset. For this reason in further research, you should make an emphasis on skill development of the Interpretation, as this is relevant to the argument.
