El objeto de este trabajo consistio en indagar los aspectos academicos, sociales, politicos y humanos de la realidad y el trasfondo, acaecidos a traves del tiempo en la Institucion Educativa Nacional Agustin Codazzi, es decir, obtener la informacion que posibilite construir su historia. Para este proposito, se recopilo la informacion a partir de la aplicacion de una encuesta abierta, conversaciones con diferentes actores de la Institucion y la obtencion de los escritos relacionados con el tema historico institucional, contenidos en la Revista Enfoque Cultural, en el cuadragesimo aniversario de la insigne Institucion Educativa. Se presenta entonces una historia de caracter formal, contenida en el Proyecto Educativo Institucional junto a algunas versiones contadas por sus actores, insumos que posibilitaran construir una historia mas precisa, aunque, desde luego, no terminada. Abstract The purpose of this work consisted of finding out about the academic, social, political and human aspects of the reality, and the background occurred through the years in the Educational Institution Agustin Codazzi; that is to say, to obtain the information that makes possible the construction of a historical background. For this set purpose we gathered a great deal of data through the application of an open survey, interviews with the different actors of the institution and the written data obtained on the historical information related to the issue, contained in the Magazine Enfoque Cultural, in the 40th Anniversary of this outstanding institute of education. A formal historical background on the institution is then presented, contained in the Institutional Educational Project along with some versions told by the actors; these inputs will enable to construct a more accurate historical background on the Institution, although certainly not complete.
