The normal modes of oscillation in a hanging chain have an interest way of solution, it will be analyze some particular cases of density distribution. The paper also covers a general case for any power of the position. Some graphics of the behavior along with the solution of the proposed problem will be presented. The conclusion incorporate a view of the system equations and graphics solved using the Maple Software package.
