There are pedagogical models where the student is totally dependent on the tutor, and it is the latter that decides what and how to teach; but that is where some disagreement is generated in the educational process, since it assumes that students are conditioned to learn the same kind of things without considering individual differences and personal interests. Why has there been a need to implement innovative strategies that contribute to enriching the teaching-learning process, and that is how thanks to the advancement of information technology and communications have been a number of tools to support the education of these are the called intelligent tutoring systems, which are aimed at creating attractive environments for students by integrating instruction by computer and artificial intelligence. This article reviews the state of the art becomes subject, identifying its applicability in education, conceptualization, finally some conclusions and proposed application.
