Estudio sobre valores y antivalores organizacionales de los estudiantes de Ingeniería Industrial de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia- sede Manizales
The purpose of this study was to identify the organizational values and anti-values profile of students of the National University of Colombia, Manizales campus. The “Inventory of organizational values and anti-values” (IVAO in Spanish) by Mendoza and Ladron de Guevara was adapted and applied to 201 students, which was systematized in an Excel database, and was subsequently processed on SPSS through statistics tests as measures of central tendency and “T” tests with independent samples. To validate the instrument, the confirmatory factor analysis and the Chronbach Alpha were used, showing adequate levels of validity and reliability. The results were able to prove the prevalence of the values as opposed to the anti-values in the students surveyed. Profiles of organizational values with the sex variables, stage of academic education and region of origin were compared, finding significant differences in the correlation. Thus tendencies by women towards values and by men towards anti-values were found. It was found that students in the final stage scored higher on the subscale of organizational values, compared to students in an early and middle stage, indicating a direct relationship between the two variables. Differences between regions of origin and values were also found, identifying a tendency towards values in regions like Manizales and Huila, and towards the negative values in the Amazon region and the Caribbean Coast.
