The objective of the research is to analyze the impact that internal and/or international parent‟s migration generates in the academic performance and disciplinary performance of their children in three educational institutions of Santa Rosa de Cabal. Initially, a diagnosis is made to determine the mobility of the parents, after that, the data is collected through a survey applied to students of the seventh, eighth and ninth grades. From the information obtained we have generated a data base for statistical analysis using SPSS establishing crossings with other categories related to the issue of migration (remittances, communication, students who live). Academically it was found that the population had the lowest number of lost subjects is the one with international migrant parents. In 2013, they presented the best average but by 2014 they dropped averages and were the group that recorded fewer accompaniments for development of tasks. With reference to the disciplinary performance it was found that the migratory phenomenon of parents is a factor in students. With these results is necessary the xii Educational Institutions: knowing this population, supporting and implementing actions that benefit children of migrant parents.
