This project presents the proposed design of a reverse logistics process used tires in the city of Pereira in Coexito SA analyzing the possibility of opening a business that dedicated to transforming the rubber raw material and thus give good management to this tire looking at it from the economic point of view providing solutions to environmental impact and meet a government requirement that mentioned in resolution 1457 is established separate collection systems and environmental management of used tires to the producers and distributors in addition to be a graduation requirement for students of Industrial Engineering at the Technological University of Pereira. The population was 102,925 vehicles registered, 17 specialized centers and 27 specialized tire mounted last two recorded in the chamber of commerce of the city of Pereira, applied statistics and census sampling to look at user habits and replace tires, we studied the production process by defining the product characteristics, optimal plant size, production capacity (actual - and potential installed), we analyzed the projected demand for used tires with the technique of regression analysis forecast this we give quite significant, and finally evaluated the project with a financial study to look at the feasibility of implementing it. It can be concluded that implementing reverse logistics design of tires viable from the point of looking at economic and technical, the latter provided us with valuable information for the realization of this project as there accessibility to purchase machinery for recycling and the many destinations that can be given to transform rubber as raw material.
