Propuesta de gestión local para la promoción en salud ambiental, la prevención y vigilancia de la enfermedad transmitida por el vector del dengue en el municipio de la Virginia, Risaralda
The local management proposal for environmental health promotion, prevention and surveillance of vector-borne disease dengue-ETV was developed in the municipality of La Virginia, located in the Andean region of Colombia over the valley that makes up the rivers Cauca and Risaralda (Plan of development Municipal 2005-2007), which presents environmental conditions conducive to the proliferation of ETV as Dengue is endemic in this area. Initially, for the realization of the proposal was determined the risk level of the municipality through the objective and subjective evaluation of risk. Subsequently, we conducted a review and analysis based on criteria of internal and external coherence, relevance, feasibility and effectiveness of the millennium development goals, development plans at national and local plans applicable to environmental health and the development of Internal Capacity Profile (ICP) and the Profile of Opportunities and Threats (POAM), which allows the management capacity of the secretary departmental and Municipal and served as an input along with the results of the first objective for a DOFA comparative matrix, through which the strategic options were identified to guide the local management proposal, which was developed based on the pattern of management or PDCA cycle, in order to achieve a system approach management. Thus concluding that the local management proposal constitutes a tool for information, guidance, and improving the management of dengue ETV to the secretary of health departmental and Municipal.
