The Regional Environmental Management Plan for the production subsector natural cosmetics in the department of Risaralda guides the actions for economic development, social and environmental Department of Risaralda. It takes account of public and private actors (producers and processors) and academics through a literature search, semistructured interviews and data administrative officers, thus obtaining a diagnosis of the state subsector and defining current and potential conflicts before it. The development of this management plan is possible. In it, proposed strategic lines, which approximate the subsector become one of the most important economic branches of the economics department, framed in theories of bio and sustainable development, taking advantage of favorable conditions biodiversity present in almost all Colombian territory and knowledge become traditional scientific knowledge, through programs research and technical and technological development and investment public and private capital. This requires a regulations review, to provide the conditions for producers and processors aromatic and medicinal plants including more plants subsector, inputs and natural cosmetics in the list of products approved by the Invima.
