Los textos infantiles de Fanny Buitrago revelan al lector los momentos, espacios y relaciones vitales que nutren la voz narrativa de la escritora adulta. Plenos del colorido, la sonoridad y la magia de lo cotidiano –visto desde la infancia– estos relatos, no solo son una evidencia de la versatilidad estilistica de la autora, sino de como esa infancia recreada y recuperada en la palabra, constituye para el ser humano, un estadio supratemporal que no depende de la edad o de las «etapas del desarrollo biologico». Estas historias tejidas con los recuerdos cosechados en las alegres y vitales margenes infantiles, en la casa ancestral y sus alrededores, refrescan la palabra de la escritora (que, en muchos de sus otros relatos, se torna aspera, amarga, reseca e ironica), y muestran en el caudal de su obra, una vertiente cuyo fuerte curso continua. Full of the color, sound and magic of everyday life –seen from the lens of childhood— these tales not only evidence the stylistic versatility of the author, but also how this childhood, recreated and recovered in language, constitutes a supra-temporal stage for the human being, that does not depend on age or on the «stages of biological development». Interwoven with memories, harvested in joyful and vital childhood margins such as the ancestral home and its surroundings, these tales refresh the writer’s language (which in other of her works becomes rough, bitter, dry and ironic), and show, amidst the diversity of her work, a path whose strong course continues.
