El presente articulo es producto de una investigacion, que tuvo como objetivo analizar la dinamica exportadora del sector carnico en el departamento del Atlantico. Se desarrollo bajo un diseno investigativo longitudinal con una metodologia no experimental, de tipo cuantitativo-cualitativo. Para dicho analisis, se utilizaron dos modelos panel data; un modelo panel de crecimiento y un modelo gravitacional, aplicado a la base de datos de la DIAN sobre los registros de las exportaciones en el departamento correspondientes al periodo 2006-2010. En el analisis se comprobaron las teorias expuestas por Hecksher-Ohlin y Paul Krugman sobre economia internacional en el contexto estudiado. Ademas se concluyo, que existe una fuerte relacion entre la tasa de crecimiento y el volumen de exportaciones del sector carnico, acompanada por variables como la distancia entre los socios comerciales y el PIB (tamano de la economia) a la que se exporta. This article is the result of an investigation, whose main objective was to analyze exporting dynamics from meat industry in the Atlantico. For this a mixed methodology (qualitative and quantitative) longitudinal design with a non-experimental research and a method of inductive research, applied research techniques were the interview and survey. To the previous analysis, there were used two models data panel; a growth panel model and a gravitational model, applied to DIAN database on the records exports in the department between the years 2006 – 2010.The exposed theories by Hecksher-Ohlin and Paul Krugman were proven about international economy in the previous context analyzed. The investigation concluded that there is a strong relationship between the growth rate and export volume from meat sector, it was accompanied by variables like the distance between the business partners and GDP (economy size) which is exported.
