The article reports the research process undertaken with social and govern- mental actors in the municipality of Caldas (Antioquia, Colombia), which describes the imaginary constructed about the situation of children in the rights perspective. These provides analytics elements on the situation and problems of children in the municipality, equaly able to identify the place WKH\�RFFXS\�LQWKHORFDOVFHQH��QRWRQO\�DVUHFHSWRUVR UEHQH?FLDULHVRIWKH� state or the municipality programs, but also its visibility as actors and pro- tagonists of their own development.
