The present paper deals with 4 species of Chinese Eusimulium. Among them 2 species are described as new and 2 species are recorded for the first time from China. All the type specimens are kept in the Health and Antiepidemic Station of Liaoning.1. Eusimulium synanceium sp. nov.(fig.l)According to the definition of Rubzov (1959-1964), E. synanceium should belong to the batoense group. This new species is closely allied to E. shogakii Eubzov, 1964 from Japan, but distinguished by: Parameres each with astrong, large and numerous small pa-rameral hooks, the presence of a triangular dorsomedian projection on the cocoon.Type locality: Kuandian (Bahechuan) of Liaoning Province. Collected by Chen Ji-yin.2. Eusimulium kuandianensis sp. nov. (fig.2)This new species belongs to the aureum group. The female and pupa are similar to those of other members of the group. But the ventral plate being large, axe-shaped, basal arm long, as stalk of an axe serves to differentiate E. kuandianensis from other species in the aureum group.Type locality: Kuandian (Longzaogou) of Liaoning Province. Collected by Chen Ji-yin and Cao Yu-cun.
