In the past 20 years,practice of fighting with poverty has generally changed the poverty situation in rural areas in Gansu.However,the less develope d economic situation has not been basically changed.The two major problems conce rning fighting with poverty need to be considered:(1)the nature of poverty has c hanged profoundly;(2)sliding back into poverty becomes the striking problem.The former pattern of fighting with poverty is in low scientific and market level,and defi cient in investment and creative system.Thus,the policy of fighting against pove rty should be adjusted to the present situation.
