The violence and its forms of expression are part of society and different scenarios of socialization of individuals. Sporting events, especially soccer games are no exception and this is associated with hooligans that accompany these activities. This article presents the results of a research conducted in Medellin city with members of the “barras bravas” (wild gang of fans) of two football teams in the city, which was aimed for determining the relation between violent behavior and psychoactive substance use by this population group, through a descriptive and correlational study of crosssectional design which allowed verifying high significance between aggressive behavior and consumption of substances such as alcohol, marijuana and cocaine.
