The present paper deals with 5 species of Eusimulium collected from Jilin and Liaon-ing provinces. Among them 2 species are described as new to science and 3 are recorded for the first time from China. All the type specimens are kept in the Liaoning Hygienic and Anti-epidemic Station.Eusimulium jilinensis, sp. nov. (fig. 1)According to the definition of Rubzov (1959-1964), E. jilinensis belongs to the la-tipes group. VII. 1979; paratype 1 , Xiuyan (Hadabei), Liaoning, 26. VII. 1980.Eusimulium xinbinensis, sp. nov. (fig. 2)Closely resembles E. bertrandi (Grenier et Dorier, 1959), but easily differentiated by the following features: style rather long, bow-shaped in lateral view; ventral plate lame- llate, with a wide median longitudinal hairy stripe, the latter with a small angle at middle of its posterior margin, posterior margin of plate concave at middle, anterior margin with a strongly sclerotized stripe, wave-like, arms strongly sclerotized too.
