The following graduation project report is intended to perform a financial viability study for a company on the pharmaceutical industry called Alquimika Farmaceutica SAS, whose main purpose is to meet the demand on the milk, pork and poultry industries in Colombia through the development and manufacture of disinfection and asepsis products. Alquimika has the government support through SENA and FONADE in the financial program known as “Fondo Emprender”, which gives COP$110,880,000 under a business cooperation contract to fund the investment, costs and expenses of the project. The development of this project is mainly based on the knowledge acquired through the Financial Management Master degree of EAFIT University and the prior project development of the company itself. Four scenarios are evaluated under the parameters of WACC, NPV, IRR and IRP as decision criteria. The first scenario is the project presented to “Fondo Emprender” achieving condonation of funds. The second is the same as above but without condonation of funds. The third scenario will be assuming the financing with the companies own capital. Finally, the fourth scenario is financing with debt and companies own capital. The value of this study is that shows evidence of the benefits for the project and the investor, under a business cooperation contract and it shows that the project is not viable through the financing of the debt considering the rates of micro credit in Colombia.
