TEACHING INTENSIVE READING OF JUNIORS OF ENGLISH MAJORS

Abstract:

It is necessary for teaching Intensive Reading of Juniors of English Majors during the 21th century to have a comprehensive content,which mainly includes four parts:culture,discourse,writing style and encyclopaedism.The content should be arranged systematically and different special emphasis should be laid on each lesson.Some measures are taken so that students can be stimulated to think,their enthusiasm can be aroused and their creative abilities can be developed.A combination of skills used in intensive and extensive reading is involved in teaching the course with different emphases on individual texts and enough directions should be given to students in order that they can learn themselves.
