Tangible Signs of Transitory Organisational Changes in Tourist Sector Organisations: Case Study (Asociación Venezolana de Agencias de Viajes y Turismo Avavit Manifestaciones Tangibles Acerca de los Cambios y Transformaciones Organizacionales Transitorias En Organizaciones Gremiales Del Sector Turismo: Caso de Estudio) (Spanish)
This article is based on research carried out by the authors. It is an analysis of the signs and symptoms related to organisational changes experienced by tourist sector organisations bringing together private companies within the industry. The analysis has been carried out within an emerging context, variously named by other authors as post-modern, post-industrial and informational, among others. This analysis has been based on categories proposed by Rigoberto Lanz and his research team at the Universidad Central de Venezuela (Imposmo, 1999), among these are: Technological information and communication processes in organisational management- as support and reconstruction; training, learning and memory as an organisational basis for change; and related to Programmed systems for performance and average and outstanding action standards: management practices which favour or hinder performance. These categories show what the organisations are like or how they are perceived among post-industrial society. Particular emphasis is placed on how communication and new technology have influenced organisational relations as tangible actions in today’s world.
