Spanish Abstract: En este articulo se presenta la situacion que ha tenido que vivir el pueblo indigena U´wa en relacion con el proyecto de exploracion y explotacion petrolera en su territorio. Para ello se realiza un analisis de las acciones juridicas y de resistencia que durante los ultimos quince (15) anos han emprendido los lideres y miembros de esta comunidad para oponerse a las actividades que se requieren para este megaproyecto que consideran que no solo afecta su cultura, su modo de vida y su territorio sino a la sangre de la tierra que segun su cosmovision es el petroleo.English Abstract: This article explores the situation that U'wa people have lived with regard to the prospecting and exploitation of oil in their territory. For that, it makes an analysis of the juridical and resistance actions that the leaders and members of this community have undertaken in the last fifteen (15) years to oppose to the activities required for this megaproject. They consider that it affects not only their culture, their way of life and their territory but also the blood of earth which according to their cosmovision approach is oil.
