Esta investigacion se propuso evaluar la eficacia del video El arbol de Chicoca para la prevencion del Abuso Sexual Infantil (ASI). La muestra estuvo conformada por 40 madres comunitarias y 40 ninos y ninas, cuya edad oscilaba entre 5 y 10 anos, que participaron en la investigacion en forma voluntaria luego de la citacion a una actividad regular del equipo de salud comunitaria. La mayoria de madres (75%) tenian entre 31 y 40 anos y estudios de bachillerato completo. Los resultados muestran que el video El arbol de Chicoca es un instrumento adecuado para el desarrollo de programas de promocion y prevencion en salud sexual, especificamente, en el area del ASI, con ninos y ninas de 5 a 10 anos, en la cultura Caribe colombiana. ABSTRACT This investigation has set out to investigate effectiveness of video the tree of Chicoca for prevention of infantile sexual abuse (ASI). The sample was confonned by 40 communitarian mothers and 40 children and children, whose age oscillated between 5 and 10 years, which they participated in investigation in voluntary fonn after citation to a regular activity of communitarian equipment of health. Most of mothers (75%) they had between 31 and 40 years and studies of complete baccalaureate. The results show that video the tree of Chicoca is an instrument adapted for development of promotion programs and prevention in sexual health, specifically, in area of ASI, with children and children of 5 to 10 years, in Colombian Caribbean culture.
