This paper focuses on designing furniture that facilitates and propitiates the development of school activities for this population. The furniture definitive design is the result of research processes from the point of view of inclusive design. An interdisciplinary team of professionals from the Health Sciences, Biomedics and Design carried out the study. The research was implemented by means of focus groups with motor-challenged children and people who are in constant contact with them - nurses, babysitters, mothers, and teachers, among others. In order to implement the methodology, researchers performed a characterization of the most critical needs of the population, from the biomechanical, postural aspects and productive - technical aspects, which, in turn, helped to develop concepts and generate full-scale models.
