Fracciones de absorción específicas para fotones con la tiroides como órgano fuente del phantom computacional de referencia del ICRP/ICRU Specific Absorbed Fractions for Photons with the Thyroid as Source Organ in the Reference Computational Phantom of the ICRP/ICRU
In this paper, specific absorption fractions (SAF), using the phantom man voxel reference with the Monte Carlo code MCNPX, were calculated. The SAF were calculated for the case in wich the source organ is the thyrod, and 28 target organs were considered. The results have low statistical uncertainty and were compared with calculations based on analytical phantoms of Cristy and Eckerman. The results show large differences, these are due to the geometric shape, organ distribution, and distance between organs and tissues, which are more realistic in voxels phantoms.
