Construction is a key factor in the economy of a country. In the manner that augmentation of productivity of the involved processes is achieved, the more available resources there will be for the development of civil projects. The productivity has been the object of study by the construction industry with the objective of generating value in the construction processes. For the study of productivity in progress, it is critical to identify the activities that take place in the field. Traditionally the retention of this information is done with observational tools that come directly from the field and its respective resources. Presented in this paper is the utilization of application of method and identification of workflow. The obtained information makes way for finding solutions for the reduction or elimination of losses within the process of construction. Consequently, a case study of a conventional structure uplift project is presented that took place in Bogota in the year 2011-2012. The obtained results are a compilation of 6 consecutive months which yielded a series of proposals and recommendations for bettering the job. On the other hand, it should be noted that the investigation will not only introduce a better way to improve the job which is being worked on, but will also come in handy to provide suggestions for future construction projects as well as serve as a guide for other investigations
