Method: This is a descriptive observational study based on monitoring of fi fteen patients operated on by laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, in order to control morbid obesity and achieve a decreased expression of chronic diseases. Results: Before bariatric surgery, a body mass index (BMI) ranging between 35 and 43 was diagnostic of severe morbid obesity. One year after the procedure, there was an average weight loss of 36%. Conclusion: Bariatric surgery by laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy assures weight loss, improves associated comorbidities, reducing early complications related to the surgical procedure, saving time management and efforts.
